WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Build a traditional wooden tote box while developing practical woodworking skills using hand tools.
Participants will learn how to:
· sharpen and maintain edge tools
· mark out accurately
· saw and chisel with confidence
· cut mortise and dovetail joints
· assemble a wooden tote box
All tools and materials are provided, so participants simply need to bring themselves and a willingness to learn. By the end of the course, everyone will take home their own handcrafted wooden tote box.
This course is designed for young people who already have some experience using hand tools and are ready to build on their existing skills. Participants should ideally have completed an introductory woodworking course, such as the Academy’s mallet-making taster, or have gained equivalent experience elsewhere.
