WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Experience the joy of making a traditional chair with (mostly) hand tools. In 5 days you will make and take away a comfortable chair as well as developing the skills to make many more chairs yourself. The course covers fundamental chairmaking techniques like drilling compound angles, steam bending and saddling chair seats. The chair we will make uses the kind of dry timber you can easily buy from a timber yard. All materials for the course are provided and previous woodworking experience is useful but not essential.
