A huge thank you to Edward Morello, MP for West Dorset, for his speech in Westminster yesterday. During the debate ‘Role of shipyards in economic growth’ he talked about the importance of investing in traditional boatbuilding skills and the great work of Women in Boat Building.
Edward visited the Boat Building Academy in Lyme Regis, alongside Belinda Joslin of Women in Boat Building where they toured the Academy and met some of the current students.
He did a fantastic job advocating for central funding to help safeguard these valuable skills and crafts.
