Alex Cunningham gave up the city and his job as an Architectural Engineering Consultant to develop his woodworking from a hobby to part of his working life. Alex’s personal project piece was a contemporary writing desk, with a nod to Art Deco, in Cherry and Walnut. His aims after the course were to establish a career in collaborative design and build projects. Since the course he has been back in London working on his lighting brand Orinoko Design while finding work as a set designer and build manager.
