Learn how to set up simple building frames and construct the backbone for both modern and traditional wooden boats. Produce the stem, keel, hog and transom for a small dinghy and then fit all the components together to form the backbone. You will learn how to set out fair planking lines and how to fit the first plan or garboard to a clinker dinghy. The theory of setting up for cold moulding, strip planking and carvel builds is also covered.
